The Full Story

Courtney’s love for horses began early, and her Morgan mare, Missy, taught her responsibility, patience, and determination. They grew together, competing in hunter/jumper and dressage around New England. At 26, and retired, Missy enjoys life on Courtney and her husband’s farm in Tolland, CT.

Courtney's passion for equine wellness led her to specialize in Equine Massage Therapy where she's dedicated herself to helping horses perform and feel their best. In 2014, she earned her certification in Equine Massage Therapy from Bancroft University’s School of Massage. After graduating and throughout her clinical training, she gained practical experience and refined her techniques through a collaborative mentorship with her friend Kim Friedgen @ Partners In Performance.

Kim Friedgen, a lifelong horsewoman and highly regarded professional in the industry, generously shared her extensive knowledge and passion for equine wellness. Under her mentorship, Courtney had the opportunity to refine technical skills and gain invaluable experience in the field of equine bodywork. This collaborative experience  enhanced Courtney’s professional development and strengthened her commitment to delivering high-quality care. Their work together is rooted in mutual respect, trust, and a shared dedication to supporting the health and performance of every horse.

Courtney’s dedication to learning and growth is reflected in both her education and career. While earning her B.S. in Education (CCSU), she competed on the IHSA team, building lasting relationships with trainers and barns. She went on to earn master’s degrees in Educational Technology (CCSU) and Curriculum & Instruction (University of Saint Joseph) further enhancing her skills as a teacher. Balancing her love for education with equine massage, she is dedicated to providing horses with relief, preventative maintenance, and improved mobility.

With over a decade of experience in equine body work, and over 25 years in the equine industry, her practice is grounded in a deep respect for horses and a commitment to their well-being. Through ongoing education in anatomy, biomechanics, and advanced massage techniques, she provides evidence-based, individualized care. Her goal—whether working with athletes, rehab cases, or retirees—is to support each horse’s long-term health, comfort, and quality of life.
